"If you need a break from the busy streets of Tirana, Lake Park is the place to go. It's quiet, green, and peaceful, with ducks and birds by the water and plenty of shady spots to relax away from the sun. Lots of locals come here for walks, jogging, or just to hang out. For me, it felt like the perfect spot to slow down, breathe, and enjoy a bit of nature in the middle of the city.
The park was built in the 1950s around an artificial lake that was created by damming a stream - before that, the area was mostly fields and farmland."

"This park provides a large recreational space within walking distance of the city centre. I did walk a complete circuit of the lake, but the nicest parts of the park are the north and east sections. South & West not much shade and a background of buildings rather than woods, I would avoid.
Plenty of benches to sit on in shaded areas. A broad paved path runs around the lake with dense woods on the north & east sides, alot of which is unpenetrable. There are play areas, some sports areas and many Caffès/Restaurants & Kiosks. A background sound of Cicadas accompanies you on your walk."
