What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Museum of Islamic Art for its stunning architecture and impressive, comprehensive collection of Islamic art that rivals European museums. The breathtaking views of the Doha skyline from the terrace are a major highlight. However, some reviewers noted a lack of detailed English explanations for exhibits and a desire for more context between pieces.
"The collections in this underrated museum rival those of most museums in Europe. I’m giving it five stars, though more detailed explanations would’ve been appreciated at least for the Roman exhibits. There is also not much information in English, so you’ll get more out of the experience if you know French.
For 200 DA you actually get two museums for the price of one, as the Islamic and Roman exhibitions are housed in two separate buildings. The ticket office (caisse) is also in its own small separate place directly from the entrance."

"There is a lot to see and discover in this museum, also there is a parking area inside for those who look for"
Abdelkader Saber Brahimi
"The museum is an excellent place to learn about part of the era of the Islamic countries that ruled in Algeria and North Africa. You can see educational tools and Qur’anic manuscripts, war tools and military clothing, old clothes and accessories for decoration, coins used by the population in several Islamic eras and coinage tools.
The place is worth a visit."
