Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Army Museum Algiers as an incredible and deeply moving experience, offering a comprehensive journey through Algeria's history from pre-historic times to independence. Many report feeling goosebumps and shedding tears due to the profound connection to their country's heritage. The affordable admission and convenient location are also highlighted as major positives. Reddit

"Incredible museum. One of the best in my opinion. It basically sums up all of Algeria's history from pre-historic times until this day. I had goosebumps and even shed tears while exploring those four floors of history. Words can not describe how much love and respect I have for my country, it's culture and people. I feel like a piece of my heart was left there in the museum. It's a must see if you are visiting Algiers and if you want a deep seek of the history of Algeria, I'd recommend dedicating a whole day for it. It was simply mind blowing to see all those historical pieces in one place. And it only cost 20 dinnars ! To me, it is worth visiting even if you just pass by Algiers; it is located opposit to Maqam Chahid and you can take the "téléphérique" (Cable car) there which will drop you off next to Hamma garden and metro station."

Meriem Ouzidane

"Very beautiful and fascinating museum full of artefacts and reconstructions of Algeria's past. However, I have two criticisms to do: first of al regarding the ban on taking photos which I find rather stupid and annoying for those who want to keep some souvenir images.
Second of all the plates are written only in Arab and sometimes in French and/or English; I think that this is wrong for two reasons which are that English is necessary as is the international language and everyone should understand that and in second place it should be written also in Amazigh as Algeria has that language (primary) too."

Rafik Mekkaoui

"This is the perfect place to know Algeria's rich history. This museum takes you through the journey the Algerian people took to take their independence. It shows what happened in real battles and they include photos of the heroes they lost along the way. They shall all be remembered forever thanks to this museum."
