"The home of Independiente, is one of the best stadiums I was ever in. Spectacularly designed and a rocking atmosphere. The night I visited here, was a crunch match to qualify for the Copa Libertadores, so the passionate crowd were really up for it. As Independiente are the record holders of most wins of this continental cup, this competition is very special to all involved with the club. Before the match, I went to a supporters bar at a horse riding centre near the ground. There I spoke with many fans who probably had too much to drink, but were mad passionate about the Reds and wanted to share their tales about following the club through the years. I met a lot of memorable characters this night and had a great time. As a Liverpool fan, my only real knowledge of Independiente was them beating us in a Club World Cup Final sometime in the distant past. To my surprise, I was to quickly learn from the fans that this night was the celebration of the 40 year anniversary of the greatest win in their history. What a coincidence for me. At half time, the now older heroes paraded the cup around the pitch, as they showed the goal that won that game in a continuous loop on the big screen, while my newly made friends hugged me, and made fun of me in a jocular way. The Reds won the match 2-1 in the end and the explosion of joy and also relief in the air was palpable. This place is quite a distance from the centre of Buenos Aires, in the suburb of Avellaneda, and the commute requires 2 trains. I was warned to be very careful coming out here, and when I saw the huge police presence here, I got a dose of the fear. However, my experience proved to be the opposite, and I have nothing but warm memories about this place."

"I've been there at a football game between River Plate and Instituto. It is not the home stadium of River Plate but it was the available stadium for a home match of this team. The access was very fast (the way in and the way out) and the shops were easy to find.
The show was incredible, great, the best I've ever seen in a football stadium!
The supporters of River Plate made an incredible show, exactly what I was hoping for."

"Cool stadium with the best view possible as it has been redone recently although it looks like it still misses a few details here and there. Los hinchas are not that noisy but all in all, a very cool experience!"
