What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Durigutti Family Winemakers for its gorgeous grounds, posh atmosphere, and excellent wines, with many highlighting the knowledgeable and friendly staff. The 'History of Wine in Argentina' tasting menu is a standout, though noted for its generous portions. Some guests felt a slight disconnect from the winemaker personally due to the elevated experience.
"This place had such gorgeous grounds and is on the relatively newer side so everything feels posh and elevated. To that effect you lose a bit of the connection to the winemaker and the personal connection. All wines were great and the tasting was a bonus way to try their olive oil which was my favorite (a bit spicy) and their balsamic made in house. The tour guide was also very mindful of letting us know to call an uber ahead of time as getting access out there may take longer which was very helpful. Didn't try the food but looked like a lovely setting."

"Beautiful day at Durigutti with an exquisite tasting. Karina was an excellent host and did an amazing job guiding us on our wine journey. Looking forward to our next visit!"

"We had a winery tour, followed by the 14 course history of wine in Argentina tasting menu. It was amazing, but in the end we found it overwhelming. The pasta dish at about the mid-point was a complete dish of pasta - only slightly smaller than a pasta dish one might order as a main pasta course. It dashed our hopes of finishing all courses. This is not a critic of the quality - rather the quantity. Reducing the portion size, particularly for that course, but also for number of the other courses would have improved the experience. Another issue was the pace of service - in all it was about 4 hours. Perhaps better signals between us and the servers might have helped - as often we were finished with food remaining on the plate, and they didn't want to rush us. Some discussion of this at the outset could help keeping things moving. This said, the food was delicious, as was the wine and pairings. Favorites included the rabbit and whitefish dishes. The history lesson telling the origins of wine in immigrant Italian families was interesting, helped explain the philosophy behind Durigutti winery, a portion of whose portfolio remains faithful to the traditional table wines. This has evolved into high end wines that we tasted. There were some interesting wines, departing from the beaten path, including a white/orange blend with albarino and others."
