"Plaza Chile is a tribute to the neighbouring country for the help given to the inhabitants of Mendoza during the 1861 earthquake. It has a fountain of dancing water and on one side the sculpture that symbolizes the friendship between Argentina and Chile which can be seen represented by two heroes - San Martín and O'Higgins - shaking their hands on the back. Between their benches there are eucalyptus, blossomed rosebuds and autochthonous trees. Quieter than the other squares."

"Not the best looking or cleanest plaza in Mendoza but it has a nature feel to it, dog friendly you can let you dog run around and other dogs are usually there, the plaza has a fountain in the middle in special occasions they dye the fountain colors there you can also see some people taking showers from time to time, there is a statue of San Martín y O'Higgins and is to due with friendship. They also celebrate the Chilean Independence Day I think is September 18"
