Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Reserva Provincial Laguna Azul for its stunning, unique volcanic landscape and the mesmerizing blue hues of its crater lake. The opportunity to explore the geological formations and observe local wildlife adds to its appeal. However, many note the extreme wind and unpredictable weather, emphasizing the need for proper preparation and self-sufficiency due to the lack of facilities. TikTokReddit

"Beautiful place. Lots of interesting wild life. Easy trails to walk around the crater. Very windy and in the high 50’s in the middle of summer."

Julio Rodriguez

"This lagoon was formed by the accumulation of water in the crater of an extinct volcano. The shades of this body of water range from green to deep blue depending on how much sun it gets. There are no commercial excursions to get there. If you want to visit, you should rent a car or hire a chauffer from one of the local travel agencies. Maca Tobiano has the most competitive fares for this particular trip. Once there, the only thing you have is nature, no food or drink stalls, or information office so take your own refreshments, and warm clothes, scarf and mittens, it can get very chilly and windy. Best time to visit, October to April."

Paul Labandeira

"nice and windy place close to the city to travel to and see, it's a nice view on it's own and you can also relax sitting in one of the rocks around the place and drink mate :)"

Emanuel Baraldo
