What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally find the Botanical Garden to be a clean and pleasant place for a short visit, offering nice views and a peaceful escape into nature. However, some feel the experience is limited for the entrance fee, describing it as a simple path with added signage rather than a curated botanical collection.
"A scam. There is no botanical garden here. In any other city in the world, this would simply be a path through the hill. All they’ve done is add a few signs to the existing vegetation.
Instead of just being able to enjoy the path, they set up a gate and control access. They wanted my full name, national identity number, phone number, and nationality. The price was based on my nationality, and it was $5. I walked to the end of the path in 15 minutes. Again, this is just a dirt path on the hill outside of Jujuy. There was the constant sound of motorcycles and dogs barking the whole time. I feel very sorry for the people who live here, who are essentially imprisoned inside their own city, apparently with no option to freely access the beautiful natural surroundings.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, you technically have a two hour limit to be on the hill! 😂"
