What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the incredible kayak adventure, highlighting its wild beauty and the unique experience of navigating rapids and walking through the river. The natural landscape and wildlife sightings are major draws. While the adventure is physically demanding, it's considered highly rewarding. For a more relaxed outing, accessible riverfront beaches and family resorts offer pleasant alternatives.
"This review refers to the whole stream going from "Sierra de la Ventana" to "Saldungaray" by water. It is an amazing experience. There is one guided tour by Emiliano Bournod (Eukel Ñancu guide) that takes you from the "Parador Los Angelitos" to Saldungaray in a kayak experience. It is a full adventure track where you row and you go through some rapids and also need to hop off the kayak and walk through the river. Take sneakers since you will be walking among rocks. It requires a strong physical effort but it is worthy. You travel through parts of the river that are usually unknown for most people, completely wild and you may discover several ducks, birds, fish and different species. Consider it as a day-long activity. If you are in love with outdoor activities you must do this tour!"

"On the left side of town, four or five blocks past the railway bridge, you can access the creek's shore. There's a beach and places to drink mate and spend the day. It's shallow."

"The landscape is exceptional. It usually has more water than the other streams, as most of them flow into it. Las Ollas, Los 3 Álamos, El Dique, Los Angelitos, and Los Cisnes are family-friendly resorts, except for the last one, which currently doesn't have a defined beach. At Las Ollas and Los Angelitos, there are seasonal cantinas and table and grill rentals. In my opinion, it's much more enjoyable out of season; everything is much more natural and peaceful."
