What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Quebrada del Cóndor Reserve, calling it a 'magical' and 'unique experience' ideal for nature and adventure lovers. The chance to witness Andean condors is a major highlight, complemented by the charm of the historic inn and its delicious homemade food. Some mention the challenging access roads as a minor drawback.
"In the Quebrada del Cóndor, where the air is crystal,
the mountains rise in a mineral green.
The wind runs softly amidst the colossal song
of the condor's flight, free and ancient.
The condor circles high above the green mountains,
its feathers brush against clouds in a distant flight.
Below, the Sierra de los Quinteros, in its early morning song,
greets the ancient bird that reigns in the human and the arcane.
Among pale stones and hidden paths,
the condor watches over the valley, silent and proud.
Its eyes discover worlds that no one has perceived,
and the wind whispers secrets it has never shared.
When the sun retreats behind the paths,
the condor slowly returns to its Andean nest.
The Quebrada cradles it in its divine embrace,
and the night keeps it like a peaceful dream.

"Absolutely lovely, and I would go back a thousand times! Everyone is incredibly kind, the food is plentiful, and the scenery is beautiful. The dog, India, is a sweetheart ♥️.
Don José (who, by the way, is the great-great-grandson of Chacho Peñaloza! 😃) invited us to see the condor he cares for, because someone shot her in the wing a while back. Her name is Ona, and José takes care of her with so much love.
José and his brother Juan are very attentive, as is Agustín, who drove us to the inn.
A few kilometers away lives Marta, who makes incredible textiles with sheep's wool. She's very skilled, and what she makes is absolutely beautiful 💖"
