What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning amphitheater setting and the spectacular nature of events like the Fiesta de la Vendimia, praising the performances and cultural significance. However, logistical challenges like crowds, seating comfort, and transportation post-event are frequently mentioned drawbacks.
"Vendimia Acto Central 2024 was amazing! For reference and next years events a small recap and some times nobody tells you :S.
Before the show a local Folklore band played and the nacional vhampion tapdancing performed, the show that followed was fantastisch, but only lasted for an hour, the Miss-Vendimia election takes about as long. The setting is very beautifull and the players on the show, as well as the music are great!
Tips:
1. How to get there. Special buses are driving around but their pick up locations are vague. Taxis must have permits, but our Uber driver had one. It still took about 30 min as roads are blocks.
2. The walk up to the festival area is about 20 min, on a well lit path. It is crowded.
3. In side the Theatre it is quite crowded. It can take up to 30 min before they have taken you to your seat.
4. All in all, make sure you take at least 1.5 to 2 hours to get there.
5. There is no control on what you carry with you, so you can take food and drinks (alcohol) with you.
6. There are shops in the theatre so you can order wine, beer, water and food. Many people take it with them though. We even have seen people carrying coolboxes with the.
7. You sit on conrete benches. Take a pillow with you :).
8. Afterwards it is crowded to get back as well, take your time. The roads are still closed. We ordered an Uber and had to walk 600m for our pick up.
9. Everything is in Spanish, but that was not a problem as the show itself is beautifull.
10. You can pay by card at the stands.
11. Getting tickets is only, only a few weeks before the actual show. It is all announced on Instagram
Enjoy!"

The Magic of Fiesta de la Vendimia
Planning for Vendimia requires foresight. Tickets are released only a few weeks prior, so staying updated via social media, particularly Instagram, is crucial. Arriving early is essential, as the journey from the entrance to your seat can take up to 30 minutes due to the immense crowds. While the seating is on concrete benches, bringing a cushion is a common tip from attendees to enhance comfort. The event is a massive undertaking, with significant security and logistical arrangements, including special transport options.
Concerts and Electronic Music Scene
In recent years, the amphitheater has also become a significant hub for electronic music. International DJs such as Øostil and Magdalena have performed here, transforming the space into a pulsating temple of techno and melodic techno. These events often start in the late afternoon, allowing attendees to enjoy the sunset from the unique hillside setting before the music takes over. The energy at these electronic music nights is described as electric, with attendees sharing an unforgettable experience under the stars.
Logistics and Visitor Experience
Once inside, comfort is key. The concrete seating is a recurring point in visitor feedback, leading to the common advice of bringing a cushion. While there are vendors selling food and drinks, many visitors find it practical and cost-effective to bring their own provisions. Payment is generally accepted via card at the stands. Exiting after a show can also be crowded, so patience is advised, and pre-arranging your transport or being prepared for a short wait is recommended.
