What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Adelaide Central Market for its vibrant atmosphere, diverse culinary offerings, and high-quality fresh produce. Many enjoy the global food court and the opportunity to discover unique artisanal products. Some recent visitors noted that ongoing renovations have impacted the ambiance, making it feel darker, and that prices at eateries can be on the higher side.
"This was my second visit to these markets and, perhaps due to the ongoing renovations, seemed a bit less pleasant. Firstly, it didn't feel as large and secondly, I found it quite dark inside.
Nonetheless, I did enjoy wandering all the aisles (some are a bit on the narrow side) and perusing the different stalls. The majority are definitely food and veggies, followed by fish and meat. There are plenty of eateries as well.
If coming in by public transport, the free tram stops at Victoria Square - a 5 minute walk from the market. There is parking and the first hour is free. On Saturdays, the first three hours are free during market opening hours. There are electric vehicle charging stations in the carpark."
