What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Army Museum Bandiana for its extensive and diverse collection of military vehicles, weapons, and unique supporting corps exhibits. The affordability and friendly staff are also highlights, making it a thoroughly enjoyable and educational visit for enthusiasts and families alike. However, potential visitors should be aware of the limited opening hours and the need to adhere to defence base security protocols.
"Excellent museum with extensive collections of vehicles and weapons. Staff are friendly, but military procedure is compulsory for all visitors. Sadly, the T-34 tank was moved away to another museum, but there are still countless other tanks and armoured vehicles. Additionally, there are quite a few rare items on display as well. Overall, the museum is quite impressive and makes for a thoroughly enjoyable visit. (Note: the museum is closed indefinitely from April the 28th)"

"Museum had a great collection of army vehicles. Bring ID. Sign in process seemed convoluted. Friendly staff. Cheap price fir a family."

"This was a very interesting military museum. Not so much for the weapons and armoured vehicles displayed but there is a good display of supporting and logistics vehicles you are unlikely to see elsewhere in Australia. Of really interest are the exhibits from the army's supporting corps such as Ordnance, Medical, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers Supply and Logistics etc. For example, I have never seen any mention, let alone an exhibit, regarding the Army Psychological Corps. So if you have an interest in things military, this is well worth a visit. Note it is located on an active defence base and the usual security protocols for visiting members of the public apply."
