📍ElQuestro Gorge walk - Grade 5 This was an adventure and an half! It took us 2 hours to hike along this gorgeous spring fed creek, over rocks, through water , climbing cliffs, and sliding down rocks, to finally get to the swimming hole! We stopped for a well deserved relaxing swim and snack before we turned around and did it all again. We were definitely a bit stiff and sore the next day that’...

📍El Questro Gorge This is a great walk along a narrow spring fed creek with fern wall escarpments. With a total of 7.2km return walk it is definitely worth it. It’s classed as Grade 5 due to its rough, unformed track with large boulders, loose rocks and climbing up water falls. The walk starts with a water crossing and you have an option to turn around at the “halfway Pool” (Macmicling Gorge)....

Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Spring Creek Gorge for its beautiful natural scenery, including cascading rockpools and native flora. It's a peaceful walk with opportunities for wildlife spotting. However, some find the signage lacking and the rocks extremely slippery, especially in wet conditions, which can detract from the experience.

"One of the most beautiful walks I have been on. Start at Woolshed falls, and walk this trail all the way up the cascades.
Has a great mixture of bushland, farmland and a beautiful small creek weaving in and out of the scenery to your left.
Plenty of different types of wildflowers and wildlife, including koalas, foxes wallabies kangaroos reptiles and interesting bugs."

Justin Nemeth

"Great walk! Not very difficult, but peaceful, cool and with very rewarding views. It didn’t bother me and in fact it added an interesting challenge but the sign posting was not that good, with several signs missing. The main negative is that the walk no longer continues to Woolshed Falls as the bridge is closed. That is the only reason not 5 stars."

Andrew Gould

"Lovely walk but take care in winter - those rocks can be very slippery. Very very slippery and you don't want to fall in the gorge...."
