"Have just returned from a super stay at The Old Priory, Beechworth. Ten of us stayed on the first night of a cycling tour of Beechworth, Myrtleford and Bright. The accomodation is basic but suited our needs. It's clean, there are ample bathrooms and it has a communal eating area. Bikes were locked in a secure shed.
The Old Priory is a beautiful old building with history, it's quiet and centrally located."

"I stayed here yesterday and it was not good at all. The beds were super uncomfortable I barely got any sleep. Barely any room or night stands to put my stuff anywhere I had to put everything on the floor. There were two small heaters in my room, “our room was massive” kids stomping from upstairs at 6am in the morning and a group of 20 year olds laughing and yelling at 3am. I don’t know why this business is still open as the walls were dirty, the toilet wouldn’t flush properly at all etc. I was thrilled to leave this facility as my whole stay I felt depressed, disgusted and overwhelmed with the over all energy at this place. would not recommend for anyone."

"A wonderful venue for a large (30+ people, from 2 to 70 years) family long weekend.
A beautiful, old historic building with plenty of bedrooms which had comfortable, crisp bedding and a heater in every room. Plenty of bathrooms and toilets.
Stairs may be an issue for some people.
Our hosts Angela and Reno were friendly, and very accommodating and flexible to the point of opening up additional space for us to host a family murder mystery evening. The living/dining area had plenty of tables (many board games and a large jigsaw were involved) and chairs and a lounge suite. Kitchen services were limited to a sink, basic crockery and cutlery, microwave and 1.5 fridges. With foresight we brought a BBQ, gas cooker, electric frypans and air fryers which helped meet all our meal needs. Our hosts kindly provided additional wine glasses and BBQ utensils on request.
The Priory is a very short walk to the town centre which is another bonus.
I would certainly recommend this venue for a family gathering."
