"Walking alone by the Brisbane River on a winter night, her shoulders were as thin as the last leaf. The city at night was not so busy, she looked at the lights shining down on the sparkling river. Midway through the time, she felt the corners of her eyes glisten with a simple wonder of happiness, the happiness of fully feeling the familiarity in a completely unfamiliar place."

"The river has so many fantastic areas we have frequented regularly, from the sandy beach at Comslie, Bulimba, New Farm Park, the city, Riverside walkway, Gardens Point and Southbank. The bike and walking tracks are great. We now live on the river at Karana Downs, where the experience is very different and just as delightful. Trees, abundant bird life, great natural parks, from Barellan Point, Colleges Crossing, to the weir and Kholo Gardens. I've posted a few photos, starting from our place."
