"A gem hiding in plain sight. So much history to take in here and a good view to be had over the town and out into the surrounding countryside.
I had lunch here and no one else came. The noise would have been so different 100 years ago. Now it’s a ghost mine.
The sign that says 1520ft at the Browne shaft just lets you know how much work was done below your feet.
Now only the Pidgeons look out at what’s going on, people taking photos of their home!"

"A really great heritage building that you can get very up close to and take some fantastic photos. Plenty to explore around this relatively small site and lots of information boards. The carpark is up the hill and very close to the mining site, with most of the mine viewable following a short walk around. Definitely worth exploring and getting up close to a historic mining site."

"Literally a lot of mines in one spots so cool. Nice place to visit for information and for good pics and historical site. It was hard to navigate it tho as some sections are closed off"
