Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about The Pass for its spectacular sunsets, excellent surf conditions for intermediate riders and longboarders, and its family-friendly calmer waters. While parking is a significant challenge due to limited spots, the breathtaking views and the chance to see dolphins make it a highly recommended destination. TikTokInstagramReddit

"The sunsets at The Pass, Byron Bay are spectacular. One of my favourite places in NSW. If you’re driving there are limited spots (approx 40) making it challenging. Walk or park at Clarke’s Beach."

Andrew Morris

"Amazing surf spot, both for intermediate and beginners! If you’re not surfing, it’s still a nice place to go down and have a look! Great views from the rock!"

Oscar Lentz

"This is the first beach we went to since we came here in AU. We arrived at 5am, sunrise was not visible in the viewing deck which was a bummer but the over all view was relaxing and made me appreciate nature. The tides where high around this hour but by 10am the shoreline became wider making more room space for the sun bathers. The water was lovely, clear and calming. My toddler was able to play safely because the shallow water spread was quite huge and it seems safe for young ones. There is a bbq space on top of the beach, near the loos. If you want to secure a parking space better arrive around 5am, as it gets crowded pretty quickly. It was a 2 hour drive from Wynnum area, which we would gladly make again in the future. We love the place and social media doesn't do justice on the place."
