What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the magical experience of seeing wallabies and kangaroos on Casuarina Beach at sunrise, calling it a must-see on the East Coast. The stunning natural beauty of Cape Hillsborough National Park, with its rainforest and coastal views, is also highly praised. However, some feel the experience can be overly commercialized, with large crowds and a perceived lack of authenticity due to ranger feeding.
"A beautiful Beach that we use for Blokarting every fortnightly weekend.
The local campsite is exemplary ideal for family with children’s pools , café, Shop, reception, small fun pitch and putt Golf game and other children’s games too.
Including friendly kangaroos that are strolling around the site and also on the Beach in the mornings."

"Cape Hillsborough is a must-see. The views from the lookout over Wedge Island are incredible, especially at sunrise when the light hits the water and the wallabies come out on the beach. The mix of rainforest, hoop pines, and coastal scenery makes it one of the most beautiful spots in Queensland."

"Kangaroos are fed here every morning by the looks of it. The campsite told us they're fed at 5:30am so we walked down and there was indeed a crowd of 20 people or so (easter holidays) and about 10 kangaroos/wallabies. We stayed watching them until 6:15 when we headed back to the campsite.
The Rangers were very knowledgeable. Dont take flash photos guys."
