What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Ian Potter Children's Wild Play Garden, calling it an 'underrated' gem and a 'hidden rainforest.' It's praised for its immersive natural play experiences that engage children of all ages, with the water play area being a particular highlight. While some suggest more play elements could be added, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many eager to return.
"Completely underrated and should be visited by all families, regardless of age, to explore and experience nature within a beautiful larger park. It tests children's abilities, allows them to be challenged and get soaked (if they fancy it!)
Take a spare pair of clothes and enjoy a picnic near the water feature before taking a wander. It's note a huge park but it's enough for little legs and, should they want more movement, Centennial Park is HUGE! Toilets on site which was a big bonus.
Lovely cafe nearby too."

"An enclosed but "natural" playground within Centennial Park. Features include a small water play area and a floral rockery with tunnel. There's a slide, not suitable for little kids, a bamboo stand and a banksia tunnel. It's great place for kids to get lost and then find each other. As it's enclosed, than can wander wild and not wander too far."

"The second I walked through those gates we were wowed! It's a hidden rainforest in the middle of centennial Park. Filled with bamboo trees and all sorts of greenery! The kids loved it and I must admit the adults loved it more. Even though there were kids everywhere I found it so relaxing. They could add more to the play area for the kids but besides that it was a beautiful spot and looking forward to going back again"
