"I just wanted to share how incredibly impressed I was with the staff at the Grandview Hotel. I called to arrange for a bottle of wine to be delivered to my mum’s table for her 70th birthday lunch, and they could not have been nicer or more accommodating.
From the very first phone call, they were warm, helpful, and genuinely happy to make the moment special. Everything was handled perfectly, and my mum was absolutely delighted.

"Went to the new Grand View with my mum and a friend...we really wanted to love it.
The vibe was great, the new outdoor area is beautifully done, and the cocktails were fantastic, really well made. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the setting.
The menu looked promising (though definitely on the pricier side for pub food), which we wouldn’t have minded if the quality had matched the price. But sadly, it didn’t.
The seniors' bolognese was watery and bland, the sliders were stale and lacked flavour, and the prawn “spring rolls” were more like tiny filo-wrapped prawns, tasty but small. We also waited over an hour for our shared plates to arrive, which made the whole experience feel underwhelming.
I’ll definitely be back for drinks. The bar side of things was good. But I won’t be ordering food again. Disappointingly, I can cook better meals at home. We were really hoping for something special, but the kitchen just didnt deliver.
Hopefully this is just teething problems, and the chefs will take on the feedback and make some necessary improvements.
Apart for that, the venue looks and feels great."
