"Chris made it one of our special moments here even more memorable. The kind of experience and knowledge he had made our visit even more fun because he explained every single wine and its origin and its flavours to us so well, we learnt alot of things from him today and actually bought soo much wine from Rochford today i never thought i would. But their wine quality and tasting packages are soo good that it made me try almost all of their wine and gin packages, and ended up buying alot of the wines from them for my wedding. Best winery i have ever visited. And looking forward for more trips there while chris is still working. I visited it on my birthday and to be honest this was the best birthday I've ever had because of this winery and because of Chris."

Stopped by Rochford Wines Cellar Door as one of our stops during our winery tour in Yarra Valley. A total of 5 wines (2 whites and 3 reds) were part of the tasting. Don’t be misled by the picture I’ve added which shows a 14 wine list. Five wines are chosen from that long list as part of the tasting.
The tasting experience was quite good and we ended up buying a bottle of one of the wines we tasted. Service was fine, and the person in charge of the tasting experience took his time in explaining the different wines which were part of the tasting.
Overall, a good cellar door to visit."

"Went here for my wife’s birthday today. Very disappointed with the service as it took us an hour to get our mains. Other people that arrived after us all got their food and we have to keep on following up on our order. When the food arrived, my wife (the celebrant) saw a hair in her mushroom pasta. The manager didn’t even apologized, took the food and after a minute or two brought back a new one. We are not even sure if they have just removed it or replaced it (he said they threw it). Food was very bland and the pasta was very hard. I’m not sure if its because we were using a voucher that’s why. Wine tasting was good and the cellar people are nice. It was the Isabella restaurant that we had a bad experience. If you have a special occasion, better off going somewhere else."
