Day 1 - The start of the Overland Track! From Ronny Creek Car Park in Cradle Valley, visitor centre of Cradle Mountain National Park. 10.4km for the day! We were so lucky with the weather, sunny day ahead, and just the right temperature, and beautiful views! We walked up Marions Lookout beyond Cradle Mountain and then under the shadow of Barn Bluff descended into Waterfall Valley for the night. #...

Day 2-Part 1 Hari ini kami menuju kawasan pegunungan - Cradle Mountain! Bersyukurrrr, ternyata cuaca ok banget, ga terlalu panas, ga hujan...

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Cradle Mountain's breathtaking scenery and the rewarding nature of its hikes, even in challenging weather. However, some express frustration with the shuttle bus system and perceived unhelpfulness from certain visitor centre staff. The cost of the shuttle and park entry is also a point of contention for some.

"Amazing scenery and a pleasant climb.
We couldn't go the the peak due to bad weather but it was still a magical place to walk through and the weather did mean it was quieter than normal.

I do feel ripped off in the fact that the 2 times I been to cradle mountain I have never seen a single wombat..."

"few staff in the visitor centre were pretty passive aggressive & condescending to us when we were buying our shuttle passes. i think it’s bullshit that the buses stop at 5:30pm. especially right now with last light being quarter to 9, & there being a perfectly functional road all the way to dove lake, which most people could comfortably drive.
not to mention ronny creek having a plenty big enough carpark for at least 40 cars.

intended to do the summit, but due to weather (which we already knew would be circumstantial) we were spoken to like children and advised against.
ended up doing Marion’s Peak instead.

i understand they would have to deal with some seriously ill-equiped common sense lacking individuals, but there’s a way to say things. you don’t know how many hikes people have done, or what their ability is purely because of how they are dressed haha. we all still had to go back to our cars and get changed/grab our gear.

the price you pay for the shuttle would be
alright- if you rode it 20 times in the day you spent there. coming from vic where almost none of the national parks require the park passes or anything of that nature, we thought it was honestly a bit of a trap.
‘if you’re not on the 5:30 bus, you’re walking’

overall i wouldn’t recommend going in the visitor centre to buy your passes or bus tickets, use the machine in main carpark.
i’ll be back to do the summit (in shorts) eventually, much to the visitor centre employees dismay."

"We did the dove lake walk on a rainy and windy day but it was still gorgeous. Loved the mountain tops peaking thru. We took it at a very easy pace and did it in 2 hrs 15 mins"
