Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Gorge Wildlife Park for its friendly staff, fair admission prices, and the incredible opportunity to interact with a variety of animals, especially the koalas. The park is seen as a great family-friendly destination offering good value and a relaxing atmosphere. Some suggest adding more animal information boards for an enhanced educational experience.

"Gorge Wildlife Park is a wonderful place to visit with family. You can easily spend 1–2 hours here enjoying the animals, especially if you love interacting with and caring for them. The park is well maintained, and you can feed some of the animals. There’s also a shop where you can buy souvenirs and animal food, plus a cafe offering meals and drinks.

Parking is convenient, with three car parks available, one right at the entrance and two across the road—so finding a spot is not difficult. Entry prices are fair, and for an additional fee you can hold a koala at 11:30 am or 2:30 pm, which is a popular highlight.

Walking paths are in place, though some areas have slopes and stairs, so keep this in mind if you’re visiting with prams or wheelchairs. There are several spots where you can sit and enjoy your own food, making it a relaxed outing.

One improvement could be adding more information boards with animal details, which would make the experience even more engaging.

Overall, it’s a great family-friendly destination that balances animal encounters, facilities, and accessibility."

"A great place to visit and get close-up with so many Australian animals (and plenty from overseas as well!).

There is something here for everyone, from old favourites like kangaroos to some lesser-seen critters like capybaras. They were definitely the highlight of our visit, with the recently-born babies stealing many hearts in the audience.

Don't forget the reptiles on the way out and, although less exotic, the rabbits and chickens are also worth spending time with!

Very affordable for a family ($66 for a family of 4). I'd recommend getting there earlier rather than later, though, given the parking is limited and gets pretty full."

"Such a lovely place to visit.
Not too big (so you can actually make your way around to everything easy) but also lots of animals!
So many enclosures and all were so good, plenty of plants and space and very natural looking inside.
Cool variety of animals - natives, primates, reptiles, farm, exotic.
Can feed kangaroos and wallabies as well as farm animals.
Also an awesome shop and the good people were eating from the Cafe smelt amazing.
Very well kept, the signs were being updated while we were there and they had plenty of signs apologising for it, while still having some signs available.

Only thing that bothered me was the map, was hard to use - maybe try a satellite image to help place where things are accurately or you know someone with a drone who could take above photos?
I'm good with maps but was very hard to use, it didnt show any paths on it or anything."
