The friendly atmosphere and community feel are often highlighted, making it a pleasant weekend outing. Some reviewers note that prices can be on the higher side compared to supermarkets, but the quality and direct support for local farmers are seen as significant benefits.
"Interesting fresh local produce. A variety of stallholders.
Largest cauliflowers seen in a long while for less than the price of the baby caulis in the supermarkets.
Never before have I bought eggs with a hectares per hen ratio rather than the other way around.
Delicious German style pretzels and pastries.
So much more. Well worth the time on a chilly winter morn."

"Quite a good market in a nicely grassed park with shady areas and plenty of space to amble. A good selection of stalls and friendly vendors. Of particular interest a very well stocked plant stall with a wide variety of seedlings and advanced plants. Go visit!"

"Great to fill in a Sunday morning but these are not market prices. This is the most expensive growers market I've ever been to. Unfortunately this is the reason people buy at woolies instead. Its gone from a great way for local farmers to sell fresh produce directly to the public and turned into another yuppie wannabe trendy market. The atmosphere is great and is very family and dog friendly but as a market its lost sight of what its there for. Why is there a boutique wine stall at a farmers growers market?"
