What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Picnic Cove Park for its beautiful lakeside setting, abundant birdlife, and family-friendly amenities like the playground and BBQ areas. It's a well-maintained spot for picnics and connecting with nature. Some note the lack of on-site toilet facilities and suggest bringing equipment for table tennis.
"The park has a playground in a lovely location next to Lake Joondalup, with the bonus that the children can learn all about the many birds easily visible on the water."
Iain Macdonald
"Gorgeous park, well kept, lots of natural beauty and birdlife to appreciate. Great for walkers and cyclists as well as families. There are a few winding paths leading around the park area, along the waterfront and into the bushland of Yellagonga Regional Park. There's also an impressive skate park across the road. The interpretation signs are a nice touch, probably need a bit of a touch up (bit of graffiti). Lots of shade, lots of tree planting projects happening to retain it which is fab. A truly lush spot, great to go on a warm Summer afternoon or evening. Definitely worth a look."
Claudia J
"My granddaughter and I had a lovely picnic here. It was raining, but fortunately the picnic tables were under a roof. It would be really nice to picnic there anytime. Unfortunately, there are no toilet facilities. There is a nice children's play area though."
