What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Wilpena Pound for its breathtaking natural beauty, unique geological formations, and excellent hiking trails. The stunning sunrise and sunset views are a major highlight. However, some guests find the on-site accommodation basic and the distance to amenities like BBQs inconvenient, while noting the helpfulness of the staff.
"Excellent walking trails and views"
Athena
"Stayed in on-site accommodation. Room only had a couple of teabags, mugs and fridge. A microwave, toaster and basic crockery would be good, especially as it is located miles from anywhere. Rooms are only serviced every 3 days.
BBQ facilities were clean, but a LONG way from the rooms, so needed to drive to the BBQs. This was really annoying, and obviously to discourage people who book rooms from cooking themselves.
Office staff are very helpful and accommodating."
Renée Butcher
"A must visit place if u r up this way. Absolutely stunning. Varies hiking track from easy, to medium to hard - all at your choice. Also huge camping ground that suits family, kids and bike riding. A large swimming pool is very unique in the area.
Definitely checking it out."
