What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors love Greenwich Baths for its tranquil harbour swimming and scenic bushwalks, making it a peaceful escape. It's particularly praised as a safe and enjoyable spot for families with young children due to the calm waters. Some find shade limited and advise checking water quality after rain.
"What a gem of a place, great family place especially the little ones. It’s a safe environment with gentle rolling waves when we were there. The bath area is netted and fronted by a spacious sandy beach. Facilities include deck chairs picnic tables and chairs, (cold?)showers, toilets, communal beach toys for the kids. I think I even saw a beach umbrella but there are some shady areas during mid morning on the beach. There are more shady spots along the grassy side near the entrance. free parking at street level and more at the boat ramp. Free entrance on weekdays when it is not staffed. Highly recommend this place. May I suggest we all pick up any rubbish on the beach we see, especially cigarette butts, bits of plastic wrappers, broken plastic toys etc embedded in the sand and put all the toys back. 🙏"

"Beautiful baths but there is a bit too much sand for my liking, free if no lifeguard but costs money if there is! Too much shells in the pool for me!"

"It's OK. A short walk from street parking and we were lucky to get a good parking spot. If you want a good position on the beach then you have to get there early. Very limited shade areas behind the beach so if you have your own umbrella, or cabana, then bring it along. By early afternoon it was very crowded with a couple of large groups of small children from nearby preschools adding to the melee. There is a kiosk that sells coffee and other refreshments."
