Reviews Summary
Grindelwald is praised for its stunning alpine scenery and the variety of adventure activities available, particularly at Grindelwald-First. The charming village atmosphere and family-friendly options are also frequently highlighted. However, some visitors find the accommodation to be dated and overpriced, with issues concerning cleanliness and room size.
"While this place has plenty of activities, it is not worth the cost to stay.
The place look like it hasn't been upgraded since the 90s and has lots of warn areas and needs a good paint everywhere.
The pool was dirty and the floor was gritty, the spa as green with a brown ring around the top of the water level.
While the rooms themselves were newish, it was not suitable for a family of 4. They charge $20 for the cleaners to wash the dishes and there were at crawling up and down our wall.
Some positives were the splash golf ($18), the mini golf and the peddle boats and bikes."

"Really tired room. Advertised for 4 people, but there was only one towel rail, no table and you couldn't sit on the couch if someone was standing by the sink the room was so small. The basin was so small that you literally couldn't even fit a toothpaste tube on it. Not even a box of tissues, just a handbag pack of 10. 'Golf side villa' and we had a view of a pine tree right out the door. No extra pillows would have been handy, Kmart electric blankets and a lot of wall damage. The pool and sauna are screaming for upgrades. The ceiling was leaking, theres mould around the doors and the spa looked green. Wasn't brave enough to get in. Restaurant was nice but overpriced. Nice area for families, but im not sure I'd rush back to the accommodation."

"I've been here a few times now. I love the grounds. I have been upgraded twice when they had a nicer room available which was lovely. The property is spectacular and just really nice way to relax.
The first time I ever came to Tasmania over 10 years ago I stayed here. Great central location and made me fall in love with the place. I now live in Tasmania.
The staff have always been very friendly and accommodating. Last time I went I arrived to a member of the public yelling at a staff member and the staff handled it with respect and politeness. Far more than I would have."
