What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the stunning beauty of the Great Barrier Reef and the unique experiences offered at Reefworld, particularly the overnight stays. The staff's friendliness and professionalism are frequently highlighted, as is the quality of the gourmet meals. However, some guests, especially those in the Reef Suite, have noted that the high price point doesn't always align with expectations regarding amenities like air conditioning and equipment quality.
"I went on the Reefsleep trip. Amazing from beginning to end. The Staff were all very friendly and professional. A big shout out to Amy, Olivia, Jeff, Josh and the chef. The whole experience was fantastic, the trip on the boat out took a while, 3hrs but the pontoon is fabulous. Our swags were awesome, slept under the stars. The meals and service was just amazing, the chef was fantastic 👍 the snorkelling was truly beautiful, easy and safe for all levels of experience. The reef is spectacular with so many different types of fish and corals all very healthy which was encouraging to see. Thank you to every wonderful staff member who made this a truly wonderful experience."

"Phenomenal experience. Stayed in the reef suite. All I can say is just do it. All the staff on the pontoon but our hosts were next level. Once again. You have to do it. We will be doing it again."

"Reef Sleep experience - Couldn't be happier despite some unexpected circumstances.
We ended up being much later than expected due to an engine failure on one of the boats that brought us out to the islands. We ended up need to take a few hours to head back to Airlie on another boat, then be taken directly to reef world.
On the ride back to Airlie, we were given free snacks and alcohol and the staff was as accommodating as they could be. Once we were back on the mainland, we were greeted with mimosas and a private seating section while we waited for our boat. In that section, we were fed snacks from the bar, free of charge. And the service did not stop from there; the ride to reef world was just as comfortable. Once we were there, due to the later entrance, we were allowed to snorkel a bit later than normal to make up for lost time. At this time, it was only reef sleepers on board so the reef was virtually empty.
The service on board was amazing; every worker was polite and ready to accommodate. As well, the chef was amazing: we were incredibly well fed with gourmet meals nearly the entire time we were on board.
Couldn't be happier with my Reef Sleep Experience."
