Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the River Torrens Linear Park Trail as a remarkable asset for Adelaide, offering a picturesque and versatile experience for all. Its blend of natural beauty, accessibility, and recreational opportunities makes it a standout feature, perfect for leisurely walks, runs, and cycles through diverse landscapes.
"I just love all the parks, rivers and wetlands throughout Adelaide and surrounding areas.
This was my first visit the Henley Beach section of the River Torrens Linear Park Trail. As it was late afternoon in the winter I only walked to the first river crossing but utterly enjoyed the experience.
On this side (north side) there is for the most part two tracks near each other - one is bitumen and the other gravel. The runners and cyclists used the first and some of the walkers used the latter.
Dogs on lead allowed and I was pleased to see that the owners of dogs adhered to this policy.
Lots of frogs and water birds around. There is also some undercover seating, though not sure I saw any bins around so it's a matter of taking all rubbish home with you."

"Walked the length from the city to the beach in about 3 hours on a nice day with some good podcasts. Fairly easy walk, mostly in the shade."

"The Linear park experience is recommended. Have walked to West Beach from the Brickworks, lunched at the surf club there and returned. Tired but excited . Have also walked from Brickworks through to the city doing the return loop from Hackney. Just as good on a beautiful winter's day. Excellent facility to have in a major city."
