Reviews Summary
Huskisson Markets are praised for their vibrant selection of local crafts, produce, and friendly stallholders, offering a great shopping experience. While some visitors note limited food options for lunch, the quality of goods and the welcoming atmosphere make it a recommended destination.
"I hit the regional market trifecta with three different markets in Milton, Ulladulla and Huskisson, all taking place on the June long weekend. Milton Markets, held at the showground, was probably the best for food and friendly atmosphere. We added a brown bag of large clove Australian garlic from Garlic at Bawley; two jars of ripper smoked and spiced olives by Kevally Olives; Volunteer’s blackberry jam; and Amber Party’s ginger biscuits to our local produce haul. I skipped past Lagom Bakery only because I intended to visit it for breakfast the next day. As I was coming directly from breakfast at Milk Haus, I also reluctantly passed up trying Cowra lamb spring rolls at Gung’s Thai Kitchen.
The next market I visited was the Ulladulla Marine Rescue Market, down on the wharf at Ulladulla. White Feather Designs was the standout here, with Pat’s Smoked Tomato Relish making its way into my shopping basket. Teamed with roast beef, cheese and rocket on a Lagom Bakery Turkish roll, it made for a mighty fine lunch the next day.
Finally, at Huskisson Markets we walked around the sports field (including through the goalpost) with a Hold Fast Distillery G+T. This inclined us to go back to buy their Sea Breeze Gin ($70/500ml). Its finishing note is saltbush, harvested in Braidwood where the distillery is located. There’s also lifted citrus. Unpasteurised brown rice miso from Enokido Miso also joined our South Coast haul, along with Bracko’s Biltong & Droëwors excellent traditional biltong. There’s a lot of crossover between the food stalls at Milton and Huskisson markets, so many of the items I mentioned in the first paragraph were also available at Huskisson."

"Great market to visit for things to cook with, clothes, etc. but not great actual food options for lunch / a snack. Would definitely recommend visiting, just not with the expectations of many food options! Huskisson main town just down the road has plenty of options there though so you'll be covered. I bought some very tasty honey from one of the stalls there and some great biltong - would recommend both!"
