"The 'Machinery Mile' is fascinating. It contains a beautiful collection of various machinery used throughout the district since the early 20th century. The machines are donated and well cared for by local volunteers. As a machinery fanatic, I spent no less than two hours combing through and photographing the collection. As it is on the main road through Ilfracombe you cannot miss it! Parking is plentiful, even for caravans. I'd love to add more photos, but the upload would take days!!"

"I stopped by last night to stretch the legs and was so impressed I came back again in the daylight for a better view.
I’m blown away with what has been achieved here, reminded me of the fine work done in Croydon. Pride in the town and its heritage but also with an eye on the future.
I’m so pleased that money was spent on a concrete path as the prickles are terrible, ouch!
There are plenty of bins, seating and public toilets.
Happy to donate!"
