The Ipswich Showplace Markets offer a mix of local produce and handmade crafts, with visitors appreciating the affordable finds and unique items. However, recent reviews indicate a decline in stall numbers and atmosphere, with some experiencing less-than-friendly interactions regarding the entry fee.

"OTHER GREAT COUNTRY MARKETS IN THE REGION FREE!!
Update edit; this market has dwindled down to a very bland empty market. There are now hardly any stalls which is a real shame as I once loved this market.
The younger gatekeepers on the door (not the elderly ones) are rude if you don't have change for the gold coin entry. They actually wouldn't let me in without sour faces and making me feel so small that I actually walked away and drove to another market where I spent over $200. The gold coin entry used to be by donation.
They charge the stall holders a fee aswell, come on, do you want locals to support this market? There are other markets in town with FREE entry and better facilities.
This is not the quality of Brisbane Markets (which is over commercialised too) where I happily pay an entry fee for the dozens of food caravans and other stalls."

"Great markets. Always something new. Plenty of brick-a-brac.
Update 24-7-2022. Not anywhere as good as it used to be. Hopefully they can get the vibe back. Losing too many stallholders."
