Hey guys, we are going to see the imperial cave on the long weekend but we are wondering what is the best time to visit? Like early morning? 6-7 am or around 4-5pm etc. Sunset is at 4:56. Thanks! edit: my stupid ass didnt specify but i meant like busyness wise. We booked a 4pm…
Jenolan caves / 6 foot track
I was planning on hiking (for charity) Jenolan caves to Katoomba, around April time. Doesn't seem to be many public transport options to Jenolan caves. So is the best option to get someone (family/friend) to drop off at the caves and then walk to Katoomba from there?

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking beauty of the Blue Lake and the awe-inspiring cave formations. The scenic walks and abundant nature are also frequently praised. However, some express disappointment regarding limited access to the Blue Lake itself due to past damage and the need for advance booking for popular cave tours.
"A beautiful lake to enjoy walking around or to chill out at while waiting for a tour at the Jenolan Caves. The colours of the lake are amazing. Some seating along the lake to relax and enjoy the view. There is also alot of nature to enjoy here."
Daithí Kilcourse
"Amazing lake with beautiful scenery and very well kept foot path with lots of wild life on the way like lizards but no snakes. The lake is very well kept and clean with places which are picture perfect which could be on a post card. Also there is a waterfall where you can swim in at the bottom of it. Parking is not far away and only a 5 minute walk to Jenolan caves and another 3 minutes for parking."

"The lake is beautiful but there’s no access. It’s closed after being damaged by fire and floods in 2020-2022.
Our Guide said that the reopening is planned in 3-4 years….
The best way to see the lake is at the Lucas cave tour - there’s a lookout after climbing up the stairs to the access to the cave. Or you take the walk to carlotta’s arch"
