Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Eagle Gorge for its stunning coastal views and the dramatic red cliffs meeting the ocean. The accessible lookout and the option to hike down to a secluded beach are particular highlights. Some note that the views are similar to other nearby lookouts, suggesting that one might suffice if time is limited.

"This is one of several overlooks of the Indian Ocean in this stretch of Kalbarri National Park just south of town. The turnoff is well-marked on the highway, and a paved road leads to parking in just a few minutes. The path to the overlook is easy, flat, and short, and the view is awesome! Colorful red limestone cliffs undulate in and out, jutting out into the water at regular intervals. The view isn’t remarkably different from some of the others nearby, so if you are pressed for time, one might be enough.

If you possibly can, do walk the first 10 minutes of the Rainbow Valley trail, starting at the south trailhead. That offers you fascinating, closeup and personal views rock formations like those you see from Eagle Gorge Lookout."

Marsha Russell

"Wow! A short stroll down the cliff to the beach (250m). You can get close to the rocks and the waves here down to where the Gorge ends."

Bruno L

"GEORGOUS lookout, you can also take a small path down to go to the beach. There was no one there. It was amazing"
