What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Boars Head Lookout for its stunning, expansive views of the Blue Mountains gorges and valleys, often highlighting it as a peaceful alternative to more crowded nearby lookouts. The unique 'Boar's Head' rock formation and the spectacular sunset potential are frequently mentioned positives. However, the introduction of metered parking has been a point of contention for some.
"Great lookout and walking track near by. The views are stunning all year round. It is quite high up, so don’t be like me and forget to wear sunscreen because the UV can be quite punishing up here.
The car park at the lookout is now metered parking and rangers do actually check from time to time so be sure to either pay or park a few streets back in the residential area where it’s free and take an extra 10 minutes to walk to the lookout and save your money."

"10/10 views. I'm giving it 4 stars as there is metered parking, which is rubbish, but other than that, it's just a short walk from the parking area. There are stairs just before the lookout area. Nothing is too difficult. All easy access. There are no railings or fences, so walk with caution. Perfect place to watch the sunset. This is popular with tourists as Cahill Lookout is just to the right of here. Other than that, it is peaceful and relaxing to visit."
