"Absolutely beautiful quiet stretch of beach, came here for a swim and went exploring with the kids. There is an amazing rock formation , an ancient pyroclastic lava flow, probably several million years old on the northern end of the beach. There was also a lot of other volcanic rocks, including pumice. The kids loved the pumice, it is the only stone that floats on water, and they were playing with it, inventing fun ideas to make a house out of pumice. It held their imaginations for several hours. We spent more time playing and exploring among the rock formations than we did in the water. I would definitely recommend coming here for a swim and some exploring."

You’ll find a very interesting walk down to the left of the beach, with a veritable teddy bears picnic in the trees. Also further along, a thong tree! A must see if you’re heading up the east coast."
