What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Koorawatha Falls is a charming natural spot offering a refreshing swimming experience and scenic beauty, especially after rain. While the direct 4WD access is a plus, the 2km walk from the 2WD parking is manageable. Visitors appreciate the picnic spots and unique boil holes, though caution is advised due to broken glass and potential leeches.
"Nice little waterfall fairly close to town. Drive to causeway and park and walk approximately 2 km if you are in a 2WD car. Walk is quite easy along road (easy to walk but not suitable for 2WD car). The is hardly any uphill, it is a little rough but fairly easy for most walkers and only 2 km."

"Definitely worth the visit. I unfortunately had a high ace two wheel drive. It struggled on the road but if you have a four-wheel-drive, it’s rugged but worth the destination."

"Stunning location.
A car can get you to the concrete causeway on Bang Bang Creek but I would recommend 4WD if you want to drive the remaining 1.8km of dirt track to the dam wall to shorten the walk. A 10 minute walk along the walking path from the dam wall will take you to the foot of the falls. Great swimming location.
There are large boil holes in the bedrock on top of the falls that are worth the effort to walk up to see.
The only downside is the amount of broken glass bottles at the falls. Use caution when bringing kids.
There are many grassy locations along the creek perfect to sit and enjoy a picnic lunch and take in the beauty of the location."
