"This beach is also known for fishing and can get Australian salmon apparently but we only caught small fish (don’t know what they are). Just a short sandy walk from the car parking, bring your picnic mat and sun shade and lay down to relax while hubby is fishing. There is a playground in the car parking. This place is about 10 min to the town. Walking trails within the area but just not sure if its details."

"This afternoon, I returned to Eastern Beach in Lakes Entrance to finish off the rest of the foreshore Walking Track plus walking between the Main Beach and Eastern Beach to make a circuit.
This was actually a bit harder than I expected especially as I'm still trying to shake off my flu symptoms and the weather was fluctuating between 26 and 30 degrees. But no matter the obstacles, I was determined to get it done.
The first section of the Eastern Beach Walking Track is what I've done previously before with my support worker Ben. A series of swampy wetlands and tall reeds across a narrow section of Lake King forming a channel. This runs parallel to the nearby Holiday Park, rental accommodation and small reserves.
There is a lookout point of sorts at the Lakes Entrance Rotunda with views of the Aqua Park, Footbridge and Esplanade. The rest of the walking track is mostly footpath running along Lake King.
Walking back to Eastern Beach along the sand was obviously the hardest part of this walk. Like Lake Tyers Beach, there is a long chain of sand dunes which makes it difficult to navigate as most of the time I was walking on a slight angle. Plus the sand can be quite squeaky and soft underfoot.
However, there is much to appreciate here with a large diversity of coastal vegetation including American Searocket, Californian Sagebrush European Beach Grass and Sydney Golden Wattle."
