What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Bygone Beautys Teapot Museum for its unique and extensive collection of teapots, creating a charming, nostalgic atmosphere. The friendly and accommodating service, particularly from staff like Jason, is a recurring highlight. While the cafe offers enjoyable traditional treats like scones, some guests noted that certain drinks, like chai lattes, are made with powder.
"We had a lovely time at the cafe. Loved walking around to see all the teapots and curiosa. It’s quite amazing.
The waiter Jason was lovely and very helpful.
The soups (pumpkin and potato-leek) were good but not extraordinary.
The coffee and tea good, but my Chai Latte Spiced was just the sweet cheap powder kind. Usually I ask, cause I don’t like those. But as it is a proper tea house, I expected it to be real Chai leaves and spices.
Overall good and fun to go to 👍"

"This quaint little tearoom and museum is a delightful spot to visit to have a quiet hot brew in Leura.
The tea room is well set out and has ample space for patrons.
A quiet wander through the museum rooms reveals a vast array of teapots, tea cups, mugs and other types of collectables.
We indulged in the 2 for 1 Devonshire tea. (Available with a Blue Mountains Explorer bus ticket.) Scones were delicious and obviously baked on site. The pot of Jasmin green tea was a real treat following a long day of sightseeing.
The staff were brilliant. Jason was quite informative and accomodating.
Well worth a visit if in Leura."

"17/11/25
We visited this restaurant as a group of four and initially ordered just one jar of tea and two scones since we were still quite full. Everything seemed fine during our meal, but when we went to pay at the counter, we were surprised to find that we were charged for an additional set of tea and scones simply because we were four people.
This policy was never explained to us when we ordered. The waiter did apologize, which we appreciate, but the lack of clear communication left us disappointed. It’s unfortunate because the experience could have been easily avoided with a simple explanation upfront.
Just sharing this so others are aware—make sure to clarify any minimum order requirements before settling in."
