"Stunning small falls, easy walk and quick walk from the carpark which had a lot of car spaces making parking easy.
Toilets and picnic area.
2 sets of falls which was such a pleasure, just off the main road making it super easy to get too as well."
Belle C
"Absolutely beautiful falls. Very easy walk to the first fall, and then a slight incline and maybe a 2-3 min walk to the second (which is actually the first when you take into account the water flow).
Probably the best bang for step waterfall walk I have done. I have walked miles further and descended and ascended many a step for less impressive falls. Definitely worth a visit."
Adam Hocking
"The camp grounds could handle 4 to 6 vans but doesn't allow for cars from other visitors. It's a 5 minute walk towards an overpass with the water course on your left. It's best if you have hiking boots as it could get slippery. Young children not advised as the track narrows as you climb to the top. First viewing place is the path on the right as you come over the top."

The Enchanting Lilydale Falls Experience
The reserve features two distinct waterfalls. The first is easily reached via a short, gentle walk. For those seeking a bit more adventure, a slightly steeper, short climb leads to the second, often more powerful, cascade. This second fall is particularly impressive after periods of rain, when the water flow can become a torrent.
Beyond the falls themselves, the area is a haven for wildlife. Keep a keen eye out, as lucky visitors have spotted the elusive platypus in the creek, adding an extra layer of wonder to the experience. The reserve also boasts picnic areas with BBQs and a playground, making it an ideal spot for families looking for a pleasant outdoor excursion.
Navigating the Lilydale Falls Tracks
However, for those venturing to the second waterfall, the terrain becomes a bit more challenging. The path involves a slight incline and can be narrow in places, with natural and formed steps. It's recommended to wear sturdy footwear, such as hiking boots, as the surfaces can become slippery, especially after rainfall. While generally safe, parents of very young children might want to exercise extra caution on the ascent to the upper falls due to the narrowing track.
Despite the slight increase in difficulty for the second fall, the reward is well worth the effort. The views are spectacular, and the experience of being so close to the cascading water is invigorating. The entire walk, including reaching both falls and returning, can typically be completed within 30 minutes to an hour, depending on your pace and how long you linger to admire the scenery.
