Reviews Summary
Horton Falls is lauded for its beautiful, peaceful, and remote natural setting, offering a great spot for swimming and camping. Visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere and basic facilities like clean toilets and firewood. However, the extremely steep and sometimes difficult access to the main waterfall, especially for families, and the challenging terrain for bikepackers are significant drawbacks.
"Very remote and quiet.
Bikepacker note you will need water filters and it's a hard slog to river. The trail here especially the last 8 km is brutal. Not for the beginner or medium level bikepacker. Must feel confident in your ability 💪"

"Had heard lots of lovely things so packed the car for the day and headed off. It was only about a 5 minute walk from the picnic area/carpark to the waterfall/swimming hole. I must admit the walk down to the swimming hole was extremely steep. We had a 7 and 9 year old with us and they managed okay but I was quite anxious. The weather was perfect and we had a beautiful 2 hours swimming and exploring the waterfall. We will be back for sure!"
