"This place is amazing! It has everything you could possibly need for a weekend away. Very likely the best mountain bike trails in the southern hemisphere, with the vast majority being in excellent condition. Friendly staff, a cafe with quality coffee and a decent range of tasty food served all day. About 6 beers on tap for post ride refreshment and they've also got a big wood burner to stand around on those colder days.
We spent three days here and had all kinds of weather, including some snow at the top, such an amazing experience. Can't wait to go back!
Special mention to Jules for keeping us out of the sideways rain when he dropped us at the top and the lassie in the cafe for consistently making some of the best coffee I've had."

"Booked a half-day lesson with Sam and it was awesome. From the email communication in buying gift vouchers, to booking the lesson to checking in on arrival with Lisa, the whole experience was efficient, professional and we were made to feel so welcome. We are beginner MTBers and Sam took the greatest care with us teaching us the basics for bike positioning, braking, balance, manoeuvring. All the things. We had so many ah-ha moments, everything he taught us had an immediate impact on our safety, ability and confidence. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to try MTBing or improve their skills. We can't wait to come back."

"I had an absolute cracker of a day riding at Maydena. I had booked a Learn to Fly for the afternoon, so got to run a few laps on the shuttle before that. Got to the summit, and a bunch of friendly locals took me under their wing showing me some awesome trails. Got a great sense of community and some killer encouragement.
Next came my lesson with Justin, which was so incredibly packed with juicy info. I was spoilt cos it was just me booked in, so I had this legend to myself, and far out did I learn so much from him. Justin had so much knowledge and such a perfect way of sharing it. It was obvious why the locals that previously gave me the run down and complimentary tow were geeing him up, such a sick rider and a brilliant coach.
I honestly had one of the best days of riding I've ever had, such a great vibe on the hill - everyone was friendly and helpful. An awesome balance of playful ribbing and encouragement from everyone we bumped into.
What Maydena have made on this hill is just magnificent, you all should be well proud. I cannot wait to come back.
Oh damn, and the trails - they are EPIC. Dirt Circus and Tyenna were so mint. And to see Justin absolutely shredding through there was such an inspiration. The trail crew have worked well to get a network that always leads back to sensible spots, no matter what skill level, you can always be confident you won't lose your crew if you just take a pause at the next hub. Showtime is a banging trail bringing it all together at the bottom and over the container. Unforgettable!"
