Reviews Summary

Visitors generally find the Old Mildura Homestead to be a pleasant and historically significant site, offering a free opportunity to explore reconstructed buildings and enjoy scenic riverside gardens. While some note that interiors may not always be accessible, the well-preserved grounds and informative signage are frequently praised, making it a worthwhile stop for a leisurely stroll and a glimpse into Mildura's past.

"Put this in your itinerary when visiting Mildura! The Homestead has been cleverly entwined in the Art Gallery. Great refurb & storytelling of the Mildura settlement years & the importance of farming water! And the neighbourhood is great."

Noeleen Dix

"This large area of land with some buildings and rustic relics provides for an enjoyable stroll through the grounds.
As almost everything is closed, you have to imagine what the inside of these buildings might be like and read some of the plaques.
Plenty of potential here for the Council (or one of the local history groups) to open these buildings on a more regular basis.
I had high expectations for this important part of Mildura's history. Unfortunately, the reality did not overly impress.
Here are some photos..."

Leanne White

"Loved this place. Can just wander through, no charge. Has the homestead, outbuildings, wharf, cemetery, shearing shed and more. Can also watch the paddle streamers go by."
