•Trailhead: O'Shaughnessy Dam (Wapama falls trail) (easy parking, no day-hike permit needed). Entrance fee we didn’t have to pay, sunrise to sunset the trail is open but my be subject to change. Wapama Falls (2.5 miles in): The star of the show. Spring brings thunderous waterfalls (epic for photos), but tread carefully-the bridges get slippery when the flow's heavy. •Pro Tips Hydrate or diedrate:...

Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Maroondah Aqueduct Trail for its beautiful scenery and mostly flat, wide paths, making it ideal for walking and especially biking. The proximity to Warburton adds to its appeal. However, a current bridge closure necessitates a detour with stairs that can be muddy and challenging.

"This is a fabulous walk in nature with the benefit of an easy trail. Lovely views, fresh air and tranquillity but also close to the beautiful township of Warburton. Currently one of the old bridges between Millgrove and Warburton is closed and the detour does require walking down quite a few steps and up but provides you with a unique view of the amazing bridge structure that you wouldn't notice otherwise. Highly recommend."

Vanessa Michelis

"Such a beautiful walk, very scenic in parts and often mainly flat. I took a picnic and rug and found a nice spot to enjoy the ambiance of nature. It was a beautiful sunny Sunday and I only saw a handful of people on bikes go past over a number of hours, no other walkers. No trouble finding a car park to access the track and it was well marked and maintained."

Victoria Strong

"Great trail for walk or bike, lovely scenery. A reminder the bridge is still out between Dee Rd and Sussex Street entrance. There is a diversion track with stairs."
