"Bald head is an incredible hike... note: watch the weather, We got caught it a storm... the wind was next level"
Murray Dimes
"The Albany Heritage Park is a 260 hectare reserve that includes Mount Clarence and Mount Adelaide within the city of Albany. There are hiking and walking trails within the park as well as roads which take visitors past fine viewpoints and the heritage area around the old Princess Royal Fortress featuring the ANZAC Centre.
Further reaches up Mount Clarence along Memorial Drive includes rows of trees memorialising locals who fell while fighting overseas during WWI and WWII. Further up Apex Drive, the Desert Mounted Corps Memorial is also worth making the extra few minutes to view as well.
Overall, we found the Heritage Park to be a very good use of land as both a nature reserve and place for remembrance and to appreciate the sacrifices made by past generations to afford us the lands and freedoms to enjoy them during this and future generations."
