What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally praise the Chocolate Mill for its delicious handmade Belgian chocolates and decadent hot chocolate, often highlighting the quality and variety. The picturesque lakeside setting and family-friendly playground are also appreciated. However, some reviews mention inconsistent hot chocolate quality, potential for stale chocolates, and occasional unexpected closures, suggesting a need to verify opening hours and manage expectations regarding the cafe experience.
"A reasonable range of chocolate and good quality. Not cheap but appropriate pricing for that type of chocolate. The Cafe is a little underwhelming but again good quality. It is definitely worth stopping or worth the drive if you are staying nearby."

So many to choose from and ALL handmade! HUGE cup of hot chocolate with a chocolate strip on top.
The desserts were scrumptious. We had the chocolate tart and the carrot cake. All I can say is YUM!"

"Sign on the road says open everyday. We went on Wednesday and it was closed. Staff member said we should have checked the Internet!!! She said that the owners are too lazy to get a new sign.
Spent $39 on chocolates. All tasted stale and were all very ordinary and very expensive for the small amount of chocolates for the price. The place is old and rundown. Would not recommend. Save your money. Lots of really nice things to do in Daylesford and this is not one of them."
