The information sign told me that the Blue Lake was in fact a volcano carter, but filled up with water now.
The day during my visit was cloudy. The Lake was not in a deep blue colour that showed in other people's shared photos. It's one of the few stunning geotechical features in Mount Gambier so you must come to visit it if you are visiting or passing through this little lovely town."
