"Very disappointing in the food. Attended a function at Goldfields and was serve meat that was raw. Not everyone like their meat that way, some people like it cooked. Was told that's how the chef does it. Meal portions when extremely small, it was like having a snack not a main meal. Food was to fancy for a country venue. Paid $100 for a meal that wasn't worth $20. You can get a full plate of food for $30 in town with cooked meat. Was a total waste of money. Need more lighting inside and out. Also hand rails for people to go up and down the sandstone stairs outside, which are a safe hazard without them. Goldfields function centre has gone down hill with their food in the last 5 years. Five years you got a plate full of eatable foods which was filling and delicious. Will not be recommending Goldfields function centre to anyone, extremely disappointing in the direction."

"Attended with my class as an excursion (one day trip - did not stay overnight). They entire organisation and service was incredible. Amanda super helpful in assisting me with organising the excursion and answering any questions I had. On the day Brian our tour guide was absolutely fabulous. He kept the entire class engaged and shared lots of valuable information. There was lots of hands on activities for the students to participate in including adding on as an extra panning which we all loved. I highly recommend this site as an excursion if your class is learning about the Australian goldrush. I would definitely do it again!"
